Mejia is a South Texas raised artist currently living in Pittsburgh, PA. She completed a minor in Rehabilitation Services at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is a recent graduate from Carlow University with a degree in Studio Art. Mejia's practice began with photography in 2015, and has since maintained capturing her environment with film. Her practice is based on the mastery and merging of different media, taking form in photography based collage and painting, multimedia projects, and the transition of 2D street art into sculptural items.
Mejia is currently an Art Teacher for grades K-8. She works with Hearts on Fire which provides a free afterschool program for kids.
